Create a ufo using a variety of balloons. Fly it from the balcony and impress all the neighbors and the Naples Airport. |
First, hundreds of balloons are filled with helium and stored on the ceiling. |
The 3 ft. master balloon was stuffed with a light stick before being inflated. Side ballons were attached with duct tape. Brad and Jeff are prime builders. Christi fulfills the important job of ballast. |
The family begins to gather as the UFO takes shape. Betty declares that she has never had so many people in her bedroom at one time! (15) |
Everyone helps as the color choices were made from the selection of balloons on the ceiling. |
Uncle Tony assists in the delicate construction. Duct tape cannot be removed without breaking a balloon. Jeff begins adding the ring balloons within balloons. |
The out-of-this-world construction is almost finished. Another balloon containg a lightstick is added to the object. The ring of white balloons adds to the crazy quilt of color and shapes. |
Last bits of duct tape are added as we prepare to move it outside for the big launch. |
